Accounting Manager

We are seeking an experienced leader with expertise in financial management activities in accordance with the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. This hands on candidate, with above average communication and decision making skills, will be responsible for the confidential, timely, effective daily operation of the Accounting Department as well as the leadership and development of the Accounting Staff. 

Essential duties are, but not limited to, the following:

  • All financial and G/L account postings and reconciliations to include prompt and timely difference adjustments and clearings
  • Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable 
  • ALM and Investment systems updates
  • Interfaces with outside auditors and NCUA examiners and provides timely and accurate preparation of audit schedules and other information as requested
  • Ensures policies and procedures reflect current regulation.  
  • Works with JSFCU team to develop managerial and cost accounting initiatives and programs including member, product /service and branch profitability analysis, forecasting and financial accounting  
Is competent in the following areas:  

  • Asset Liability, Budgeting, Forecasting, Investment’s, and Financial Statement’s 
  • Responsible for timely filing of financial regulatory reports prescribed by regulators and governmental authorities  
  • Creates annual department budget 

Teller (Full-time and Part-time)

Are you a detailed, goal-oriented individual with excellent inter-personal skills? We are in the market for team players who will provide outstanding member service.    

Under supervision, and in accordance with existing procedures and systems, provides a variety of member service functions involving the receiving and/or disbursing of funds. (i.e. check, money orders, gift cards).  Work involves constant and direct dealing with credit union members and potential members, and requires the ability to accurately record information.

This high contact person requires an ability to communicate effectively with prospective and current members as well as other credit union staff and to represent the credit union in a positive and professional manner.  

Flexibility and travel between branches and weekend hours will be required.
