Honoring Retired Board Member John Collette Jr.

We express our deepest gratitude to John Collette Jr., whose unwavering leadership has profoundly shaped our credit union.

Photo of John Collette Jr.Since 2015, John has served on Jersey Shore Federal Credit Union’s Board of Directors, and most recently as Secretary. Before joining our Board, John served on the Board for the Atlantic City Firemen’s Federal Credit Union for a total of 35 years with the last ten years as Chairman, demonstrating his exceptional leadership and dedication to the credit union movement. In 2015 his efforts ensured a seamless merger for the Atlantic City Firemen’s membership into Jersey Shore Federal Credit Union, reflecting his commitment to their financial well-being over the years.

John retired from his role as a Jersey Shore board member following our 2024 Annual Meeting and we applaud his lengthy and distinguished career in the credit union industry. John’s service extends beyond the financial sector; his years with the Atlantic City Fire Department, where he worked to keep the community safe until his retirement in 1994, highlight his deep-rooted commitment to public service.

John’s contributions to the community also include his role on the Atlantic County Board of Taxation. In 2007 John became a master gardener in the Atlantic County program. His volunteer work on the project to beautify the 12-acre park around the Atlantic City Aquarium with plants and flowers in 2010 further exemplifies his dedication to enhancing our community’s quality of life.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to John for his outstanding service, which has left an indelible mark on our credit union and the communities we serve. As John embarks on a new chapter, we wish him a fulfilling retirement filled with relaxation and enjoyable time spent with his wife Vickie, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. His unwavering service will continue to inspire us all.
