Who Can Join?

Business membership is open to businesses and organizations located in Atlantic or Cape May counties.

Requirements

When you open an account online or in person, you will need the following documents depending on your type of business:

Sole Proprietorship Requirements

  • Registration of an assumed name issued by the county courthouse where the business is located
  • Social Security Number (SSN) or Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN) for the business
  • Proper ID* and SSN for owner and all account signers
  • Physical address of principal place of business and, if different, a mailing address

Partnership Requirements

  • Articles of partnership
  • SSN of FEIN for the business
  • Proper ID* and SSN for all account signers
  • Physical address of principal place of business and, if different, a mailing address

Limited Partnership or Limited Liability Partnership Requirements

  • Certificate of formation issued by the state
  • FEIN
  • Proper ID* and SSN for all account signers
  • Physical address of principal place of business and, if different, a mailing address

For-Profit Corporation Requirements

  • Certificate of formation issued by the state
  • Articles of incorporation
  • Proper ID* and SSN for all account signers
  • FEIN
  • Physical address of principal place of business and, if different, a mailing address

Non-Profit Corporation Requirements

  • Articles of incorporation
  • FEIN
  • Proper ID* and SSN for all account signers
  • Physical address of principal place of business and, if different, a mailing address

Limited Liability Company Requirements

  • Certificate of formation issued by the state
  • SSN or FEIN, whichever your business uses
  • Proper ID* and SSN for all account signers
  • Physical address of principal place of business and, if different, a mailing address

*Acceptable primary forms of identification are: 1) Unexpired Driver’s license with photo; Valid US passport or Foreign passport with government issued document showing residence, photo, and nationality; Resident alien card; Photo County ID; Green Card; Matricula Card; Current photo work ID; Current U.S. government military or civilian photo identification; Unexpired State issued photo ID – non drivers license.

Acceptable secondary forms of identification are: 2) Social Security Card (Minors Only); Original birth certificate (Minors Only); State or Military ID; Resident Alien card; Voter registration card; Firearms license or permit; Current employment photo identification (must be from qualified select employee group; Current student photo identification; Unexpired Credit or Debit Card; Marriage license or divorce decree.

All identification and documentation are subject to verification and must meet minimum information requirements.
