Jersey Shore Federal Credit Union is a member-owned, not-for-profit financial cooperative. Our main goal is to provide quality services to meet the financial needs of our members. We offer great rates on savings and loans, free or low cost financial products and friendly, personal service.


Who Can Join

Our doors are open to anyone who lives, works, worships, volunteers or attends school in Atlantic or Cape May counties. In addition, family members of existing members are also eligible to join the credit union. A family member is defined as a brother, sister, parent, grandparent, spouse, child or grandchild. Bank Credit Union
Decisions are made to earn a profit for the stockholders. Decisions are made to benefit the members.
The board of directors is paid. The board of directors is made up of volunteers.
Only stockholders can vote for the board of directors. Every member can vote for the board of directors.
Profit earned is returned to the stockholders in the form of dividends. Profit earned is returned to members in the forms of lower loan rates, better saving rates and low or no fee services.
Banks are for profit. They pay taxes to the government. Credit unions are not-for-profit. They are exempt from federal taxes.
Deposits are federally insured by the FDIC up to $250,000. Deposits are federally insured by the NCUA up to $250,000.
